Once upon a time, there was a world full of fear and ambition, and distrust, and in that world, there was also kindness and love and hope. Sometimes it was hard to tell which was what and who represented whom, because the world, despite the efforts of its people, could not be defined with only black and white. Plague and famine swept across the land and the people called the Blood began to fade away. Those that survived were left to deal with the remnants of their world, to pick up the pieces of their great lands and to seek shelter among the other survivors. Slowly, the Blood recovered from the shock of their losses and resumed their roles as the caretakers of the lands, but like all great stories, this one isn't over yet. Small rebellions took place--and outright war--and before the Blood could take a breath, they had plunged back into chaos. Political games always carry a bite among the Blood, but nothing can compared to the virulent sting of Queens protecting what is theirs and Warlord Princes protecting their Queens. Slowly, the Realms of the Blood are beginning to unravel before they've been rebuilt, and it's only a matter of time before the fragile strands of society snap under the pressure. With so much to gain and everything to lose, only the sharpest minds can play the games of the Blood and walk the knife's edge through the shades of gray that make up the darkest web.
