arguably one of the most lavish of heritage estates, this home has been part of the eiríksson family for generations and is an icelandic national treasure. no expense has been spared to ensure that the property retains its notoriety.

the long drive up to the main home is paved with iceland slate, weaving through a dense canopy of trees and brilliant floral beds - in the winter months, the barren branches twinkle beneath thousands of small lights. coming upon the large white building is a moment few forget. tall chimneys brush against the sky, windows always sparkling clean, and the wide stairs dotted with potted plants. inside the interior changes like the seasons, leanne finding joy in refurbishing her home as often as she can. filled with secret passageways and answers to some of eventide's darkest mysteries, the main home is off-limits to anyone but friends and the closest of friends.

although the main building is decidedly the gem, it in no means overshadows the others that are scattered across the estate. the most infamous is the children's playhouse, a magical-looking building with stairways that twist around it. others include the barn, servants quarters (now a guest home), the gazebo, and solarium.

the eiríksson home is lavished in simple grandeur. the furniture, tapestries, sconces, and other decorative touches all have a whisper of expense, as if the family feels the need to remind others of their riches. everything is washed in bright, warm tones; the decor is perfectly crafted. the interior of the eiríksson home is the result of a swarm of interior decorators, hired at hundreds of dollars per hour.

the gardens are a perfectly untamed tangle of ivy, wildflowers, and various grasses. several koi ponds dot the grounds sporadically, and behind the house is a full sized lake that freezes over in wintertime. a lone rope hangs from a tall, mossy oak at the edge of the lake, a past tale of summers full of tarzan swings into the water.

the buildings include a barn converted to hold cars instead of livestock, a full-sized guesthouse, servant's housing, outdoor sunroom, and gazebo. the entire property stretches over forty acres, a spacious and wondrous rapture.

arguably second only to the eiriksson estate in grandeur, this main home of the berglind family stretches for miles, encompassing mostly the more heavily forested areas of eventide, as well as entertaining guests with massive mazed gardens that burst with adventure and beauty. the main house itself is composed of two large east and west wings, the east being for the main residences of the house, the west being for the visitors that seem to be in constant flow around here. the house is completely with dramatic steep sloping roofs to keep snow from sticking in the winter, and even two turrets on opposite sides of the building. truly a fairy tale home with golden princes included.

the stables are open for all family members, including cousins, and the friends that tag along. there is a large circular pool that is often heated, for even the summers can be sometimes unforgiving in iceland. and of course there is the usual -tennis courts and the like, the gates never locked aside from when night falls. the berglinds are always willing to open their home up to others -as long as they don't ask too many questions as to how they acquired such lands in the past.

the dađason house can easily match the other heritage homes for extravagance and size. a moderately long, winding driveway leads the way up to the mansion. the driveway is lined with towering, old trees that block out most of the sunlight during the daytime. the estate is made up of three buildings: the main household, a quaint guest house, and a barn. many neat gardens surround the buildings, as well as a small field of wildflowers near the barn. the guest house has a large trellis on one side of it, with beautiful roses creeping up it.

the house itself is breathtaking on the inside. it opens up into a great room that has several large panels of windows facing westward, so that when the sun sets the red and orange hues of light shine through into the house. the rooms in the house are all large, and the interior design is for the most part an interesting mix of modern and older, depending upon what section of the house you are in.

the hálfdan estate is on the very edge of eventide, set on a driveway that is ten times longer than the street it branches off of. iron gates enclose the acres of land. the manor and guesthouse look very plain from the outside, but the interior of both are filled with decadant displays of their wealth. there are a few main rooms that are occasionally used for throwing parties, but the majority of the rooms in the mansion are unused and only entered by the maid, especially the rooms the two eldest boys used to reside in.

most of the surrounding land is untamed forest, except for the clearing the buildings are set in. there is a pleasant garden that has a pond with a fountain in the center of it. there is also a fair-sized, normally unused pool with an outdoor fireplace next to it.
