The hot city streets of Miami are home to more than 600,000 people nestled in to the Florida coastal line. The gleaming sky scrapers, fast cars, loose women, and popular beaches draw in crowds worldwide. Actors, millionaires, runaways; they all flock toward the true city that never sleeps, hoping to chase their dreams or to blend in with the rest of the crowd and drown their worries and sorrows in a party that will, with hopes, last forever. But there are some that feel Miami is no everlasting joyride. It's just another city where hopes and dreams die or where they were born and raised. All they want is to get out, but Miami isn't easy to shake away. Amidst the party and glamor lurks darker secret of sorts.

Lycanthropes also call this bustling city home. Sparse and scattered over the states, some gather as the humans do; wanting to feel or look as normal as possible. They keep normal jobs and some have families that are unaware of their secret, all while trying to let the, primitive second identity run wild as the moon calls. None can deny the urge they feel to flock toward their animal kindred, to know they are not alone. But of course it isn't that easy. Many lycans do not believe they should hide within the shadows or pretend to be human. Some want to expose themselves and prove to the world that lycans are the true top race, not humankind. Much like humans, not every lycan is good, not every lycan is bad. They have their own crimes with a feral nature. Not everyone does well in keeping their secrets and many humans become caught in the cross fire.

For years, those who have made mistakes and exposed themselves began the creation of hunters. Humans, that don't have the wool pulled over their eyes are firm believers in the fact that the things that go bump in the night are very real and pose an even more evident threat, take matters into their own hands to permanently rid the world of lycans. The hunters have their own rules and factions; some pursue the overzealous goal to see shifters obliterated, while others take a more levelheaded approach and pick off those they deem a danger to society. Whatever the reason, hunters are growing and always looming in the background.

As these two groups continue to clash, the danger of being exposed to the world becomes harder and harder to avoid. More and more lycans are becoming agitated and starting to believe that those who rant and rave about prime spot food chain should be the ones hiding along with the humans. Forming clans became the only option for survival, but some do not see the reason or need for it. Those who oppose the ways of the clans became known as rogues. The feud between clan and rogue predates time itself, dating back to the emergence of lycanthrope. Taking matters into their own hands, rogues continue to plant the seeds of anarchy between lycan and human, even amongst themselves. To some, the clans are nothing more than a fearful obstruction that is hindering the rise of the lycans. Those who oppose the supernatural manifest destiny of superiority will be permanently removed by any means necessary.
