Small fishing boats of every conceivable color dot Eventide's harbor, waiting to be taken out to sea for another day of work. This is where their owners return home. While the harbour is always teeming with activity, those who do not call it home tend to steer clear during the frigid winter months when there is not much to see except a frozen fisherman.

This is home to a close-knit fishing community; many of the families living here have done so for generations. Many argue that this is where Eventide's heart is located.

The social hub for all of Eventide, and the best place for any of your shopping - especially since it's the only town square for miles.

Between it's cobblestones, however, lay Eventide's most treasured - and darkest - secrets.

Still considered one of the newest neighborhoods in Eventide, this is home to the majority middle-class residents. The comfy and cozy cottages that line the streets give off an almost fairy-tale sense - what more could you want?

The Kvöld Valley - named appropriately for the spectacular sunsets that frequents its skies - lies a very short distance from Eventide's downtown. Every natural beauty - from the meandering brooks, to the expansive grasslands and the sparse forests that litter it's sloping hills - seems to exist here. It is undoubtedly one of Eventide's most prized possessions.

The valley holds many untold stories as well in its beauty - many that are said to speak of the origin of the people called The Whispered Ones. But that's just an old folk tale ... isn't it?

This is where Eventide's elite call home; those better known as the Heritage families. It is said that the streets here are paved with secrets, and outsiders are never welcome.

Located thirty minutes outside of Eventide, some believe that all of the mysteries surrounding Eventide can be answered here. The Almannagja Fissure has captured the imagination of visitors and locals alike for generations.

In 1990, a devastating earthquake tore through the heart of this breathtaking rift. Many nearby residents lost their homes and lives. Now, nearly twenty years later, the Government of Iceland has declared it a National Heritage site.

Located on the outskirts of Eventide, some locals would argue that this area isn't even part of the community. These cramped town homes were once owned by the nearby mine to lodge the residents. In 1955, following the closure of the mine, these homes were made available to the public. This is where those without money and plenty of secrets choose to live.

While affordable, many require extensive renovations. Most residents complain of paper thin walls through which you can hear the conversations of your neighbors or the howling wind. Still, there is a strong sense of community here - something binds these citizens together in a way no other location does. Perhaps it is the secrets buried beneath the earth. Some believe Eventide has forgotten about those that call this small valley home, but they have never forgotten Eventide.
